Charlotte Outfielder Honored By The American Athletic Conference
UNC Charlotte outfielder Kiyah Garrett has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll this week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Garrett had a breakout performance over the week, going 5-for-11 (.455) with four runs, two home runs, and seven RBI while slugging 1.091. She hit home runs in consecutive games in the Niners’ weekend series at South Florida, including a three-run homer in Friday’s game. Garrett scored a run in all four contests and was on base in eight of her 15 plate appearances.
Garrett helped Charlotte secure a conference-opening series win as the Niners scored 17 runs in their doubleheader sweep of the Bulls on Saturday.
