Former Students Sue UNC School Of The Arts For Ignoring Faculty Sex Abuse
Former dance students from the 1980s are suing the University of North Carolina School of the Arts for failing to investigate sexual abuse charges by school faculty and administrators. Some of the students were in middle-school. Lurid graphic details, including violent sexual assault off-campus, are included in the lawsuit and could develop into a class action case involving over a hundred former students. Famed attorney Gloria Allred, who recently represented victims of the R. Kelly sexual assault cases, is representing seven of the former UNCSA students. The suit has been filed in Forsyth County near Winston-Salem.
