UNC Students Not Required To Vaccinate For COVID—Duke Students Must Vaccinate

Students at UNC System universities are not required to vaccinate against COVID. Duke University students must vaccinate for COVID.

UNC waged an aggressive campaign throughout the spring semester to encourage students and employees to get vaccinated. UNC-Chapel Hill students who are vaccinated will not have to participate in COVID-19 testing this fall.

Duke University President Vincent E. Price announced new and returning students for the fall semester will require proof of vaccination against COVID-19 The university will make exemptions for medical and religious reasons.
