‘Monster’ Gets Life For Stabbing Death Of South Carolina Student

The parents of University of South Carolina senior Samantha Josephson told the court of their nightmares and how their lives had changed forever since their daughter was murdered. Josephson thought she was getting into an Uber vehicle but had mistakenly opened the car door of Nathaniel Rowland, the man who was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for stabbing her 120 times.

Samantha’s mother, bravely stood in court, under considerable stress, and delivered an emotionally devastating commentary on the life of her daughter and the ‘pure evil’ of the ‘monster’ convicted of Samantha’s death.

“I close my eyes and I feel what she endured at his hands, 120 times, over and over and over, fighting for her life locked in his car. I used to have dreams for her and now all I have are nightmares, 120 times. The final moments, her bare feet kicking and fighting for her life, I visualize the blood flowing from her body, her beautiful body, 120 times — for what? The $35 a college student has in her bank account?

“The loss of Sammy is beyond words.  There will be no more birthday parties, no more backyard gatherings, holiday celebrations, or activities to share with her.”
