Charlotte 49ers freshman pole vaulter Sarah Brown earned USTFCCCA Second Team all-America honors to highlight the 49ers performance during the second day of the NCAA Div. I Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field. Brown, who broke the 49ers’ school record in the pole vault three times this season, tied for 12th to garner second team all-America honors. She cleared 13′ 3.5 (4.05m). Of the six freshmen that qualified for the championships, Brown tied for second. She earned her spot in the nationals with an 11th-place finish at the NCAA East preliminaries with a school-record mark of 4.17.
