Charlotte NinerAlert: Moving To C1, In-Person Classes Resuming Wednesday
UNC Charlotte will move to Condition 1 (reduced operations) beginning at 12 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, and continuing until 9:59 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5.
Please read the information below carefully.
What this means
The University’s roadways and pathways have been cleared for vehicle and foot traffic starting tomorrow. All business operations are able to return to normal hours.
Please note: Facilities Management has worked diligently to clear major areas across campus. However, while temperatures remain below freezing, some refreezing may occur, particularly in shaded areas and during the early morning hours. We encourage you to wear appropriate footwear, allow extra time and remain mindful of your surroundings as you move around campus.
While the University must make operating decisions based on the conditions on campus and immediate area, we recognize that conditions elsewhere may be different.
Condition 1 allows for flexibility if you believe you cannot make it to campus safely.
Students and employees should always prioritize their personal safety when making decisions about travel. Please see below for what you should do if you believe you cannot make it safely to campus tomorrow.
While there is a chance for rain and other precipitation on Wednesday evening, temperatures will be above freezing and there are no anticipated impacts to campus.
Unless there is an unexpected change, the University will resume normal operations at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5, when the C1 expires.
