Davidson College Student Involved In Breaking Out Friend From Prison
The advocacy of Brandon Harris, through his independent study project at Davidson College, “Telling Stories of the Ignored and Forgotten,” played a significant role in the court’s decision to re-evaluate the sentence of Harris’ friend, Sura Sohna. Sohna faced another twelve years in prison. Without this focused effort, he likely would have had to wait until 2034 to be reunited with his family.
