Charlotte Golf Legend Pinky Chaisilprungruang Scores 7th Career Top 5 Finish
Pinky Chaisilprungruang’s seventh career top five finish highlighted Charlotte Women’s Golf as the Niners wrapped up play in the second tournament of the spring season at the Thunderbird Intercollegiate on Tuesday (Feb. 10) at the Tucson Country Club. The course played as a par-72 and was 6,736 yards in length.
Chaisilprungruang, a sophomore from Phitsanulok, Thailand, shot six under par (210) for the three rounds of play to finish third place individually. Pinky was just one stroke from second place and five from Andrea Revuelta of Stanford (205, -11) who won the title playing as an individual.
As a team, Charlotte finished in 11th place (921, +57) in a competitive field just one stroke behind 20th nationally ranked Oklahoma State at 920 (+56).
